I used to be an avid reader, but while I still read quite a bit online, it’s been a while since I’ve taken the time to sit down and delve into some books for fun or education.

I had a vague desire to “read more” this year, but @TomMoradpour and @davefleet (who in turn had been influenced by @julien) inspired me to take up this specific challenge.

Following @julien’s encouragement (in the post you linked) to stay ahead of schedule, I read my first book this past Saturday, and am well into my second. I plan to blog about my plans in a bit more detail soon.

I appreciate the cheers and good fortune – may you be blessed with the same!

Found you/following you on Twitter (and now your blog) via interaction on #Usguys

Congrats on your blog launch – it’s a big milestone – a tangible imprint in the digital world and a personal confirmation that you are ‘doing’ as opposed to ‘researching’.

Regarding your goal of reading 26 books this year, I thought you might like to read a blog post from @julien – he’s the no-nonsense co-author of Trust Agents who I met and chatted with last year. I trust his perspective – also a great person to follow on Twitter.

In any event, here’s his personal advice on how (and why!) to read a book a week: http://ow.ly/3wNgq

Cheers and Good Fortune!
